I.

Cast in brass, beneath.
A 28 mm medallion in solid brass, recessed and held by two square pegs into the underside of every board.
— IV · The Knight
The knight is our signature — a geometric reinterpretation of the classical piece, drawn for engraving rather than display. It is small, plain, and meant to be found, not pointed to.

— A small icon
The classical knight is a difficult silhouette. We drew ours over a season, paring it to the geometry that survives engraving — strong jaw, lifted ear, deep base — and left out everything that would lose itself in brass at a millimetre across.
The mark is sized to the thumb, not to the room. It is meant to be discovered by the hand that tilts the board on its edge — and recognised, after a few years, the way one recognises a writer by the spacing of their letters.
— Applications
I.

A 28 mm medallion in solid brass, recessed and held by two square pegs into the underside of every board.
II.

On tournament editions, the knight is engraved into the maple frame, filled with blackened brass at a single setting.
III.

On folio and travelling boards, the mark is pressed into the saddle leather of the case — quiet, dry, and felt before seen.
